Still have to color it, but this is going to be a print I'm gonna sell at Connecticon. I have a few things in here I really want to touch up a bit further, but all in all I'm actually pretty happy with how this came out.

The idea for this came from a Daniel Johnston song "Wicked World" that goes "We paint ourselves as our bodies star to decay" I always really dug that line. I'd actually started a painting based upon it years ago but never got around to finishing it. This I'm hoping to have colored by Friday.

And admittedly, this: [link] is where I heard the song first, and Osaka Popstar where actually how I initially was introduced to Daniel Johnston!

I used reference for the necklace and earring, other than that no, haha..though her hand is actually mine that was with photo reference.

Thanks!! Oddly enough, the hardest thing to draw was her jewelry. That necklace made my hand cramp.

for a minute i thought maybe youd used a brush to put that in but the detail on that is too sharp :3 you really did a great job on it

Haha..actually I did, all of that is done with a brush pen. the only part I used a pen for was the contour of her face and the brush she's holding.
